Their mission is to maximize steel's contribution to a sustainable society. It can be achieved by net zero carbon emissions within the steel sector. In addition, it can be enhanced by enhancing the responsible sourcing, production, use, and recycling of steel.
Amit Ghosh, Senior Vice-President CIF South Asia Region highlighted, “Bureau Veritas India is delighted to join ResponsibleSteel as an authorised certification body. This demonstrates our commitment to supporting our clients in the steel industry by managing their sustainability risks as they accelerate their journey to decarbonization and sustainable growth."
In line with this, the CEO of ResponsibleSteel, Annie Heaton quoted, “We’re looking forward to working closely with Bureau Veritas as we drive progress towards the responsible production of net zero steel. We can only do this through the careful scrutiny and expertise of our certification bodies.
